What is PRP?

A cosmetic treatment is based on the potential for cure of blood bioestimular skin cells.

It consists of obtaining a platelet concentrate from the patient’s plasma.

The platelets, in turn, are rich in growth factors, which are mainly responsible for stimulating cell regeneration, increasing blood vessel formation and produce new tissue.

In medicine, the PRP is used in many fields, fixing dental implants, orthopedics, maxillofacial surgery in ophthalmology for corneal ulcers, etc..

The use of PRP is very recent, and for about three years is being used in aesthetic medicine to regenerate and rejuvenate the skin

The first thing that is done is a blood to the patient, this is subjected to a centrifuge to separate the plasma, and from this obtain platelet rich fraction, which will be the one reinyecte in the skin of the same patient as mesotherapy.

Platelets release their growth factors, essential for initiating the process of regeneration of tissues.

Growth factors are responsible for:

  • Regular regeneration, remodeling and tissue repair.
  • Attract and direct the cells to where they are needed.
  • They act in cell division, new cell procurement.
  • Promoting angiogenesis (development of new blood vessels)
  • Enable synthesis of the tissue matrix.

And you get results:

  • Increased thickness of the epidermis.
  • Improved texture and vitality, and elasticity of the skin.
  • Improves skin revascularization.
  • Retrieves the tone and brightness.
  • Alisa long term superficial wrinkles and lines.

The effect is not immediate, but practically from the time the technique is performed noticeable improvement.

The results are appearing with the passage of time, the maximum effect observed at three months.

How many sessions are needed?

The number of sessions depends on the degree of skin aging, but as a rule, it is usual to perform one or two a year.

IS combined with other treatments?

It is advisable to merge the PRP technique with mesotherapy sessions (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, hyaluronic acid, etc. ..) A very thorough treatment of facial rejuvenation would be the combination of 4 sessions of mesotherapy, a PRP, IPL and a session or pixel, depending on the needs of each patient.

The great advantage of this treatment is that it is autologous, i.e., the plasma is extracted from the patient, so that not cause allergies, rejections or disease transmission. It can be said that in principle, there is no contraindication for treatment.
